Most data entry jobs I have seen were scams like you said. You could do some freelance work there are several websites where people are looking for freelance type work such a writing for them, simple graphics / web work, and just about anything online. Writing is probably one of the easiest..

One of the things I do online that is doubling every month is google adsense.

Its free to get started, and you really do not need much knowledge on webdesign or anything..... I use Word Press for most of my websites, and its basically as easy as using email! You simply select a template and insert information about any topic you know a lot about..... Or in some cases just info that you copy from various sources... For example one of my sites is just a large collection of jokes, pictures, and videos that are funny!

Again, google adsense is completely free and they basically pay you to put their advertisements on their website. For example this website your on right now has google ads on top.
