Yes Samir, Exactly right. Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Men's magazines and newspaper ads plus the Inner Circle Pubs...sounds ancient and archaic but that's the we old timers sold stuff pre internet. There were hundreds of magazines with big classified ad sections. Ah, the good old days. gjabiz PS. My weekly newspaper here in Cuyahoga Falls still carries ads from Ubild it...they've been at almost 40 years. Check em out...their display ads are for woodworking plans and quilting/sewing...usually two per week. http://www.u-bild.com/ |

Thanks -Samir |

Like Ralphie in A Christmas Story, we'd run to the mail box everyday...he waiting for his Little Annie Decoder Ring (drink your ovaltine) and us for...you name it... xray glasses, fake vomit, gum that turned your mouth black... reports, 10 dollar books, like Lazy Man's Way to Wealth... YEA we waited and waited...but every once in a while...it was worth the wait... Harvey Brody's course spings to mind as one of those WORTHWHILE waits... X ray glasses...not so much. Gordon |
