![]() Dien,
Sorry for the delay in getting this posted. Here is the article I would like to submit to ezine publishers. This particular article would target webmasters. Because of the widespread concern with my subject matter I can easily change the target market to target the market of any ezine subscriber base. Please provide your opinions on how I can better the article for submissions. Thanks in advance. Mitch "Webmaster's New Fear....Stopping the Deadly New Millenium Bug Webmasters are facing a new millenium bug which dwarfs the Y2K fears. This millenium bug is called Atherosclerosis and it is not located in cyberspace. It's found in our blood. Although Atherosclerosis attacks everyone, webmasters are at a much greater risk due to the common behaviors and characteristics associated with their profession. With atherosclerosis a webmasters concern is not "will I be affected", but instead "when will I be affected and how can I avoid premature atherosclerosis?" In the United States it is estimated that as many as 50 million people have some early form of atherosclerosis, although most are unaware. In 2001 atherosclerosis will kill over 750,000 people in the United States alone. 75% of these deaths will be years, even decades, premature. Millions more will be left physically afflicted and financially devastated from the effect of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis does not discriminate against age, sex, race or income. It attacks everyone. Atherosclerosis accounts for 1 out of 2 deaths in the United States and kills more people per year than all other deaths combined. Here's the most startling fact concerning atherosclerosis, it's up to 90% avoidable. Atherosclerosis is one of the major factors in many of today's killer disease. Coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity are all fueled by atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis literally means "hardening of the arteries". Simply put the blood vessels in your body become partially or completely plugged with atherosclerotic plaque and blood can no longer carry oxygen and nutrients to the heart and body. Webmasters are at particuliar high risk because of several factors directly associated with their professions. These risk include high blood pressure, cigarette smoking, high blood cholesterol, overweight, diabetes, physical inactivity, stress and long work hours. Through atherosclerosis, any one or combination of these factors can take away years, even decades, of valuable life from you. As stated above the most startling fact about atherosclerosis is that it's up to 90% avoidable. That's right, avoidable. "How?", you ask. The key is prevention. With just a few simple changes, such as proper diet, light exercise and increase in soluable fiber consumption, the risk of developing premature atherosclerosis can be drastically reduced. One of most direct preventative measures is to have your blood cholesterol checked. If your cholesterol is above 200 mg/l (1 out 2 adult Americans have blood cholesterol greater than this) then you are at risk for developing atherosclerosis. You should immediatly implement a cholesterol controlling program. It has been medically documented that every 1% reduction in blood cholesterol directly results in a 2-3% reduction in the risk of developing atherosclerosis. There are numorous websites available which address the atherosclerosis-cholesterol concern. One such site is www.HeartAttackSolutions.com. This site provides information and testimomnials from doctors who have themselves suffered from the atherosclerosis/cholesterol combination and how they reduced their risk naturally without prescription drugs. What better source of information could you seek than specialist in the field. The site also provides a free newsletter which addresses many issues concerning atherosclerosis and how it can be controlled. The American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Associations, and 1,000's of physicians across the nation all acknowledge the importance of prevention in combating atherosclerosis. The medical and scientific research and support for prevention is overwhelming. So webmasters, take control of your and your family's health today. Consult your doctor and implement a simple prevention program now. The scientific and medical evidence is overwhelming that you will add quality years and decades to your life. You will also look great, feel great and open the door for future success and hapiness. http://www.heartattacksolutions.com |
