![]() Hi Gordon,
Great topic! One thing is, next year (2012) is an election year, so... There will be a number of "election-related" opportunities! Here's an unusual one from the last presidential election season (2008)... In order to raise money for its business, Air BnB made some cereal... Based on Obama and McCain! They created just 500 boxes of "Obama O's" and 500 boxes of "Cap'n McCains"! ![]() They sold for $39 a box, with 5% of the money going to the campaign of the person whose cereal you bought... (If you're calculating, that means they took in $39,000 with this idea, minus the campaign contributions and costs. They also got a mountain of publicity... And, to my understanding, their "creativity" helped them to attract a lot of venture capital money too.) http://www.airbnb.com/obamaos http://www.airbnb.com/capnmccains http://www.designverb.com/2008/10/15...ccains-cereal/ Pretty "out of the box" thinking! (I always find "election time" pretty exciting... Even though I'm pretty skeptical about most candidates...) I'll see if I can suggest any other "trends" we may have for 2012... Best wishes, Dien Last edited by Dien Rice : December 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM. |

![]() Hey Gordon,
Thanks for bringing up FOOD. Love the Food idea. (But Lay off the hot dogs - they'll Kill ya) Food is going straight UP in price where I shop. Plus Gardening - cookbooks/Recipes - 30 minute menus Are all 3 Already Huge niches. So. For 2012 I've been thinking FOOD as an INFO PRODUCT as a niche I want to Explore with ZERO downside. For example: I Can Create This E-book: "How to Turn One Muffin Into a Double-Fist Size Meal" "Steeeeetch One Box of BlueBerry Muffin Mix into SIX Meals" Mom is going to be looking for cheap ways to feed little Johnny and Jane. And since my mother taught home economics when I was growing up I've got some REALLY Tasty Recipes to start with. And My own kid-like Food Experiments. (I've got some funny stories too. I've actually burnt up food processors - think smoke and food everywhere and flames.) So Thanks for the FOOD Prediction. I agree it's gonna be BIG! But I'd rather sell Entertaining Information about Cheaper/Wholesome FOOD than sell the food itself. Thanks, Glenn Osborn P.S. - Like my "Muffin Recipe Referral System that made 1.2 Million dollars" Back when I was telemarketing for Jay Abraham. ALL Gatekeepers EAT - so you can get Past ANYBODY with a HomeMade Great tasting Banana Muffin Recipe. Here's how the Muffin Recipe Sales System works... http://archive.enchantednlp.com/products.php?id=77 |

![]() Thanks Glenn...
I've been doing more cooking out here in NM than I have in years... And speaking of stretching food...my forte, my expertise, my wheelhouse in the kitchen is creating meals from whatever is available. Maybe I should joint venture and write a cookbook too Glenn...hey, how about a membership site. ONE mistake I made this past summer, whilst on the ol death bed (again). is I gave away my submarine recipes. Thousands of recipes to feed 100 people...I thought someday, it would be a great recipe book for churches, soup kitchens, nutrition centers...because recipes for that many people are hard to come by... The ol Sarge, an Army cook and head of the Goodyear Exectutive commissary and I exchanged recipes. Speaking of muffins Glenn, do you remember a couple of years ago when I posted up my 2 minute MICROWAVE muffins? Just last month I made my blueberry-choc chip pan fried cookie...always a favorite...and just last night, cleaned off the ice cream maker to make... wait for it wait homemade red bean ICE CREAM...something I enjoyed while in Japan... BUT, RECIPES are simple...to sell that is...no mess in the kitchen...no hustle to the local businesses...no waiting for customers to buy my HEALTHY HOT DOGS... ha so, again, the Glenn Meister has set the wheels aturnin... Why not cash in on what I know? And recipes are right down my alley. Keep me posted Glenn if you start a forum or something like that...I'll be a daily contributor...cause I do like me yummies... Gordon Jay Alexander PS. Last night I cooked noodles in the bean water...very tasty!!!!! Quote:

![]() Thanks Gordon,
Ok. I'll go First. Let's Test and find out whether your Forum Readers Enjoy Recipes or not. I ALWAYS Put a STORY on top of each Recipe. WHY? To Credential myself and The Recipe. (Because most recipes Are Pretty Lousy - let's face it.) ---------------------------------------------------------- Banana - Raisin - Nut - Muffins When I was 9 or 10 my Mother put me to work making dessert every day. She’d cook dinner. I did dessert. I discovered Muffins quickly. But Fought Decades Long battles with my 2 brothers. One Hated walnuts. The other picked out all the raisins! YOU Choose. But this recipe survived a Decade of intense criticism. So you know it’s Great. Glenn #1 - Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees #2 - Grease 12 muffin tins #3 - Chop up and mash one banana - use a fork, potato masher and a large flat plate or bowl #4 - Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl #5 - Then thoroughly mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with dry ingredients #6 - Pour wet ingredients in with dry and mix with large spoon until combined Don't beat mixture. Just mix until no dry spots are left. #7 - Immediately Spoon into greased muffin tins #8 - Bake in oven for about 25 minutes. Tops of muffins will get brown when done. Ingredients: 1/4 cup warm honey 1 beaten egg 1 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour 1/2 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt (In a pinch you can mix up 3/4 cup of dry milk with water and squirt in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice -- This reacts with the baking soda and makes the batter rise) 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (Tip: Have some extra flour standing by. The size of the banana is a wild card. A little more flour might be needed to make up for the wet banana. You don't want a sloppy wet batter. Your goal is to reach a moist mixture that sticks to your spoon or fork when mixing.) |
