Geolocation works on IP address. For most people - it takes their ISP's location into consideration. Not their own location.
This won't be an issue for bigger towns and cities. But it will be an issue for smaller regions of the world. I think its a novel idea nonetheless - even if there could be some inaccuracy with geolocation. Would love to hear how it performs.
