Recommendations for SEO Material
I've finally gotten around to reading up on SEO, (Search Engine Optimization) and traffic generation.
Would like to know if anyone here has any recommendations for additional reading material that is current? Thanks

The Google guide isn't bad, but they don't stress the importance of backlinks or pagerank. Onsite optimization (which the Google guide mostly talks about) is only about one-quarter the importance of off-site optimization. I've seen websites with a pagerank of 1 show up on the first page of google for very competitive keywords. All the other pageranks on the first page were 4-6. The site with the page rank of 1, had over 1,000 other websites linking back to it.
