I've taken to actively "slowing down" my life. Sometimes little things can add up. Here's one example. I work downtown in a city. At the crosswalks I will wait until the sign changes to "walk" before crossing. Sounds simple. But notice the internal feelings you have when you first try this. Later start to observe the others around you. Some will follow your lead. You can play with this by how you are dressed and compare it to some of the things in Cialdini's book as well. I am being a bit vague here. As you start enjoying your newly slowed down life you can start to notice things around you.
