All the brochures, sales sheets, charts, graphs, slides...
All the pre work, qualifying, getting things in order...
All the getting ready, preparing and motivation

comes down to

ASKING for the money. Ask for the business. Ask for the check, the deposit, ask him to reach for his wallet...

and this is where most choke.

IF you have any doubt about what you are selling, then get out of that business and find something which you are proud to offer and know it is in their best interest to give you the money...

Then ASK for it. Hardest thing most "sales" people have to do, but the simplest to understand.

Nothing happens until an exchange takes place, maybe some conversation.

ASK.

I always find it hard to sell something when I don't believe in the product...

When you do believe in it, it becomes much easier!

I think this is something many people don't think through, or realize...

So - as you said - if you want to sell, find (or create) a product you believe in...

I still believe in the Zig Ziglar "Golden Rule of Selling" too...!

But what about the snake-oil salesmen?

Do they really believe in the lies they peddle?

I just read an old article today of a scammer David Bendah who
referred to his victims as the "moron market"

How do these guys get to sleep at night?

Hi,

You're absolutely right. One I think about is Kevin Trudeau, who used to be on all the time on late night TV, with his various infomercials.

Right now, Kevin Trudeau is doing 10 years in prison...

David Bendah did some time in prison too.

So it generally doesn't end well for these guys who don't make a living honestly...

They are called televangelists...
