![]() Thank you for signing up for the Fly Low Collect Dough UPDATE HOTLINE.
The feedback has been fantastic, and the newsletter will go in the direction you would want it to, so I'm going with the more popular requests and will have topics, resources and q and a sections which you ask for. It looks like early October is going to be about small half day and one day workshops and "seminars". Our craigslist tests this past winter has proven the demand, the so called proof of concept. A big difference between what we're doing now as what I did 25 years ago when I first wrote about these workshops is... SO much more demand for all things IM, and Internet in general. Most of you are experts compared to the gen pop, and having knowledge you've learned, for example, Wordpress... could easily create an income stream if you offered a little 4 hour workshop on how to set a wordpress site up. When I was doing golf seminars, I targeted golfers, obviously...but my half page ad on Thanksgiving Day was for a gift certificate and it pulled in over 12,000 dollars before my place was even open. So, keep the GIFT CERTIFICATE in mind as the holiday approaches. Early replies have tended toward Internet over offline, but, there is some interest in the Postcard Marketing we've been testing and right behind that is ABSENTEE BUSINESSES, which we hope to cover before the holidays too. So, my THANKS and appreciation to all who have signed up and for giving me suggestions on future episodes. You can comment here, or send email or PM here, my email is [email protected] and be sure to put FLY LOW in the subject header so it catches my eye. Thanks, Gordon Jay |

These are great tips... Forged in the fire of experience! I also like the shorter approach... It makes me realize how easy it is to be ovewhelmed... This way, you can absorb it and apply it! For those who haven't subscribed yet, you can still get the first issue if you subscribe now... (see the following link) http://www.sowpub.com/flylowcollectdoughhotline/ Best wishes, Dien

Dien, who's got the time to do everything they want? No one. We have the forum to expound, rehash, review, extrapolate and provide more detail. I subscribed to dozens of newsletters, and guess what? I don't read any of them. They are so templated these days and mostly trying to sell stuff. So, I'm keeping them to ten minutes when I dictate them. That may be 2 to 3 pages at the most. As far as consulting time, my knee jerk response is, do it yourself. I don't have any interest in doing for other people, maybe WITH a few, very very limited time, unless they are either in the Publishing business, and/or in Hollywood/Entertainment. Then they get a little time. As you know we've gotten busy with books and movies, TV shows and me trying to use my marketing know how in these very shark infested waters. So, it only makes sense to respond, which is what the UPDATE HOTLINE IS all about. The list generated so far has many familiar names on it and it contains a lot of expertise. If they choose to share any new info, that would be great for all. Example, new HOT item, 3D signs, not really new, but technology, especially the sophistication of digital printing, and we have a leader in the industry here in Akron with http://www.simplycolorlab.com/ one of the fastest growing companies in Ohio. The things they do are amazing. Finding early adapters and ground floor ops is something I hope comes out of the fly low updates. Short, sweet, a quick read with hopefully the topics asked for.
