Default Sounds like a plan. Just FYI

So what I'm doing is I've begun writing a report I plan to give away (as Gordon mentioned in an earlier post) on how to get the hottest jobs in the city and I've looking into what makes resumes stand out so I can offer the free resumes as well.

I plan on having a one question survey they have to answer to download the report. Which of the following skills interest you most?
Public speaking, presentation, job search or call center.

When doing the free resumes and aptitude testing , I will recommend a class based off of our conversation and gauge their interests. I plan on offering job specific resumes and cover letters at a premium as well as your $495 find their ideal job 90 day guarantee in the beginning and using these lists to begin workshops.

I believe after going through a couple of different courses with the courseware out there and my background I can successfully run these soft skill workshops with 4-6 students at a time myself.

While like Gordon pointed out, you can make significantly more per student with Microsoft. I think in a community like mine, I'm going to be better off starting with the soft skills and resumes.

I don't have any questions at this time, if anyone has any suggestions, my ears are wide open.

Thanks again for all of your insight, Gordon.

Much appreciated.

Just as a perspective; my daughter is paid 500 bux a day to teach presentation skills to small groups, about a 5 hour training, and this is as a 1099er, her employer makes more...so soft skills is a great place to start.

She also does an Improv class on presentation/speaking skills. Depending on your area, the "geek/nerd" tech industries are great places to offer soft skills, there seems to be some very bright young men, skilled with tech, not so skilled with people, keep your eye out for your local "geek" fast growing companies. (Also engineers, accountant types too).

Good luck with your venture.

Lightbulb Update on "franchise"

Call me impatient, but I've put up a Facebook
post to generate inquiries for a training
"franchise".

In spite of a TON of "Likes", not a single
lead in 2 days!

What could be wrong?

(I won't want to risk getting banned by
posting the FB message here, as that could be
deemed BLATANT advertising)

Go ahead, in 16 years only one person has been banned, although others have exiled themselves.

Show us what you are trying to do, but, expect some questions and critiques. \

There is a lot missing, as far as information goes. A post? Where? Is it a facebook page targeting Nigerian employment? You have a link, to where? NO one has hit the link? What are they liking?

I just don't get the whole process. Who are you targeting? Why?

Where on facebook will you find them? What is the end result, what do you want them to do?

Not sure if we can be of any help or not, but I need a little clarity before I can offer anything which might be helpful, OK?

Yes, it's a Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/alignacademy

I've pinned the post to the top of the page. It's the top post you'll see when you visit the page.

The link is on the post. From Facebook's stats, only TWO people clicked the link, which takes the visitor to a page on my site

The process in a nutshell:

I'm targeting people interested in career-building skills

I targeted the prospects based on the 6 most populous cities in my country and with the interests

-Smartphones
-Job hunting
-Scholarship
-Career

Age:
30 - 65+

Gender:

Male & Female

The expected flow is:

1. Prospect on Facebook sees post in his/her Facebook timeline

2. Prospect clicks through the link on the post and gets redirected to my site

3. Prospect (now site-visitor) reads the copy on my site and clicks through to the form in the CTA

4. Prospect fills the form

When all that is completed, I should now have leads interested in specific career-building skills.

With that, I'll have a clear idea of the type of training courseware to work with in creating specific training

There are now well over 950 "Likes" yet only 2 clicks to the link that redirects them to my site and NO leads.

With these results, I know I'm missing something.

Please what is missing?

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for asking...!

When I see your post on FB, this is what I see...
"Over 26 million #Nigerians are unemployed or underemployed, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

In #Nigeria today, more people are in the same #jobsearch with you, competing for the same #jobs.

Find out how you can start building your #career and stand out from the crowd in the #economy.... See More"
Only when I click on "See More" do I see the next line, which is...
"Get FREE details at https://www.alignacademy.com/careers/"
I suspect that many people are not bothering to click on "See More"... So they don't even realize that you are offering "FREE details"...

I would recommend that either you give people a STRONG REASON to click on "See More"... Or at least let them see your offer (of free details) without having to click on "See More"... (This might mean having to shorten the part before your offer.)

The other thing I would do is make the offer much stronger. "FREE details" I feel is not as strong an offer as "Get your FREE report which shows you how to double your chances of getting a job"... or "Watch this FREE video which reveals the 3 things most employers are looking for"... or something like that.

I would always offer good, free information... But don't give them everything for free. Give them some valuable information... This (1) makes people happy, and (2) proves to people that you DO have information that they want to know.

Once they are happy with the free information - and are hopefully hungry for more - then you can sell them your product, course, consulting service, or whatever it is you are offering...

I hope that helps...

Best wishes,

Dien

Hi,

Another thing I would do is to test putting some text in the photo image itself...

"Get your free report..." etc.

That way, even if people don't see your offer in your text above, they'll read it in the text in the photo...

Best wishes,

Dien

OK, this helps. How do they see it on their timeline? Maybe use the Free resume to get them to come. Then, make it easy as Dien pointed out to get them to click through to Align Academy, and

What the heck is it?

I think a strong WHAT Align Academy is about, what is it, right now it is a very amateurish site selling stuff, and not very well. All we see are products with very generic covers that look all the same, there is no qualifying or seperating process.

So, even if they do click through, I strongly doubt you'll see any action.

You can try to put the free offer first thing in the sticky post with the link, and then they should go to a sign up page and know what Align Academy is about. Right now, I have no clue and that is after spending time there scratching my head.
You already have something free to offer, the how to raise capital report.

I think you have a lot of work to do to make this a really profitable site, but I could be wrong.

GordonJ

Why are they seeing this in their feeds?
Why are coming to the Facebook page?
Why are they NOT clicking link (hard to see, you make it hard, no incentive to do so).

What do you want them to do, and by that I mean, what is the final result of this "funnel", who is buying what?
