![]() Thanks Mike.... I enjoyed that. :)
Here's something I read recently.... I hope it helps to inspire some visitors here too! It's what Napoleon Hill did, that almost guaranteed his success.... You probably know of Napoleon Hill, the author of the book, "Think and Grow Rich." One of the best-selling books of all time, and a beacon of guidance to those looking to better their lot in life everywhere.... Napoleon Hill was already in his 80s, and was scheduled to give one of his inspirational speeches.... They saw Napoleon Hill shuffle towards the podium, the effects of age catching up with him.... The crowd was wondering if he could give the speech at all.... Hill stood on the podium, and looked out at the audience. Then he said, "Ladies and gentlemen, I have given this speech hundreds and hundreds of times in my life. But tonight am going to deliver it the best it has ever been given. This is going to be the best speech of my life!" Suddenly, the audience members sat on the edge of their seats, riveted -- and remained riveted for the rest of the speech. Napoleon Hill succeeded, because he left no room for failure! You may have heard of the great military general of ancient China, Sun Tzu. Sun Tzu describes the skillful general this way: [The skillful general] burns his boats and breaks his cooking-pots; like a shepherd driving a flock of sheep, he drives his men this way and that, and nothing knows whither he is going. [Sun Tzu, chapter 11] He burns his boats and breaks his cooking-pots, because that leaves no room for failure! When you have no way of going back, there is only one way to go -- and that's forward! No more excuses.... I know that some are of the opinion that it's good to tell EVERYONE what you are planning to do, because that makes it harder to make excuses for failure! I hope this at least gives some ideas on how to GET THINGS MOVING as Mike Litman said! By the way, Mike, I'm a fan of your radio show.... Thanks! :) - Dien P.S.
