![]() This is what it says here:
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/gjbiz/spisales.pdf The three things needed for marketing success. Something to sell, a product or service or commitment, Someone to buy it, a person, corporation, or gov't. An intersection, where the transaction can take place. Many people start with a product. Savvy people start with a prospect. Do you disagree? Agree? Is it an oversimplification? As for the Intersection. It is often the right place at the right time. So, timing does play an important role in a buying decision. Then, there is the PROSPECT. Be it a person or corporate/biz buyer or gov't procurement person. Some are on annual buying cycles, have budgets, and if you want to deal with them, you need to know their cycles. If just selling to an individual, other factors, including their PREOCCUPATIONS COME into play. The intersection (promotion) you create takes all this into consideration. Or maybe not, feel free to disagree, or ask for more details. Either way, it is my focus for the weekend while watching the hurricane. Gordon |
