Thanks Dien, I'm going to be a bit of a hypocrite here (because I've done well with very low cost items), but, if I were starting out, or over, or doing something new... I would follow this HIGH TICKET model. Sure, we can sell our front ends and loss leaders to get a customer and the Lifetime Value may get to be very lucrative, however... to start out with a 15k first sale, and even without back ends, IF you choose the market carefully, you can make a lot more money faster. Now, the good thing with lower ticket things, even low membership sites (fees) is that they might put big numbers of users up, and if your intent is to be bait for a big buyout, which is not a bad strategy at all...then you go low cost and get numbers. I'm sure Alan Says made tons of moolah while operating Warrior Forum, but when he crossed the million user threshold, the sharks came swimming, and a 3 million + plus buyout, well, that's a good route to go too. But thanks Dien, sometimes we forget, or lose focus, that there are plenty of fish in the sea ready, willing and able to afford the things they want, and cost doesn't really matter. Sort of what most of us are shooting for as we grind away, right? Gordon |
