![]() I've never been one for New Year's Resolutions...
Maybe that's dumb of me... a chance to better myself, missed! What do you do? Should I have some resolutions for 2020? I honestly have never done it... Am I missing out on something? Or is "Bah, humbug" the right approach...? ![]() I'm seriously asking... Best wishes, Dien

It is like driving your car and suddenly you stop in the middle of the highway and check your GPS. Days into weeks, months and years but all a continuum of a life. I'm sure there are tribes in New Guinea for example which don't wear watches of have calendars. How do they know it is a NEW YEAR? My point, just a check point on the journey. Either to check the map, the vehicle, the conditions, just a check point. Resolutions, represent in my mind, a change of direction. Most of us, don't need or want that. But I find it useful as a general check up, like a yearly visit to the doc, and taking your car in for a tune up. Or as Professor Irwin Corey said, "If you don't change directions soon, you're going to get where you are going." Most of us don't need to change directions, but maybe refuel, and check our maps. Thanks for your response! (I meant to reply earlier... but got bogged down with stuff...!) After thinking about it... rather than "resolutions" - maybe "goals" is a better word? (Although they are similar... in my mind, they're not exactly the same...) First - they say people with WRITTEN DOWN goals are more likely to achieve them. (I believe you've also mentioned this!) Second... I recently read an article about how country music star Tim McGraw has stuck to his goals by dividing a goal into "microgoals"... Something small you can achieve every day, for example. (I was reading about Tim McGraw because of Glenn's recent post - about how Taylor Swift "broke" into the music big time by singing a song called... "Tim McGraw"...) So, I'm going to set some goals and some microgoals for 2020... (It's okay if I start a couple days late, isn't it? ![]() Best wishes, Dien P.S. Here is the article about Tim McGraw and how he sets "microgoals"... ![]() Thanks Gordon,
Getting a RUN At The New Year. People talk about LOCATION. Location. LOCATION. But "Timing" is Important too. I DID wait until the End of the Day - when Everybody Was TIRED and wanted to GO HOME. ====== Photo from my Porch - http://glennosborn.com/2kwood1.php Photo of Tons of Dry Oak Wood Covered up by Tarps. http://glennosborn.com/2kwood2.php Cost in Baltimore for a Cord of Dry oak Wood. 450.00 a Cord. My Neighbor - Just P*aid a tree Company 2K to (I know this cuz She TOLD me) cut a 4 foot thick Dead oak tree down - one limb at a time. (So the falling tree wouldn't damage her flower bed.) See The Pile of Split wood on My Porch? That is from ONE ROUND Chain Sawed section of wood. Split up small for my FirePlace INSERT. ONE PIECE. And I got 4 Dump Truck Loads! You Can SEE the Pile in the background - out near the road. THE 2 B*illion D*ollar Question that got me all this F*ree Wood? Is Adapted from a Dr to Dr and Phone Question used by a Husband and Wife team to Build TWO Different Companies to a B*illion in S*ales. "Do You Wanna Get Rid of all this JUNK WOOD without any work? Just Dump it over there - in my yard - 30 feet away. I'll split it up and Heat my house with it." After working ALL DAY the men actually RAN to load wood and dump. Load wood and Dump the wood on Me - Rather than Haul it miles and miles. And Work EXTRA HOURS. =========== =========== Why This Question is Like MAGIC. A - If you are In Rapport. B - You offer to Make someone Extra Munny. And DO ALL The S*elling and Work FOR Them. C - And they say, "No" GADZOOKS! You Politely. WALK AWAY. A Fantastic Way to Invisibly Screen out BAD PROSPECTS. Thanks, Glenn P.S. - I Used the above Example in my F-r-e-e Ezine. A New Years offer. P*AY 15 Grand for The mp3 of How to Use the 2 B*illion S*ales close. OR You P*ay Peanuts. 100 bucks to Watch and Learn how to Use it while You Listen as we make You Extra C*ash over The Phone. Most will Say "NO" The ones who say, "YES" will 2x or 3X their In*come in 2020. |

I love it...! I think I'm starting to "get" your method... (I may be slow, but I tend to get things eventually...!) As you say above... step 1 is... rapport... And of course, that's where "flirt tipping" can come in too... Then you give step 2 too... I'm gonna go out and practice this... Gonna write it down as a goal for 2020! Thanks Glenn... I'm in debt to you... ![]() Best wishes, Dien
