I've noticed there are now a few people advocating humor in online or direct response copy... (Though I think they're still by far the minority!)

One thing to be wary of (mentioned in the article I linked to), I believe is...

Don't offend your reader!

That means you have to know your reader!

As... one thing which would be acceptable to one group, will be offensive to another group...

Or... you can just be like Canadian comedic duo, Bowser & Blue... and throw caution to the wind...
