![]() Thanks for the comments Gordon.
My thinking on the restaurants is more of having a pleasant experience, engaging with staff, giving a tip or two.... just knowing that going into the restaurant will be FUN. ![]() Since I live in a tourist town, the local restaurants ALWAYS have plenty of people during the "season". The restaurants make so much money during the season, that off-season doesn't seem to worry them. I know, I know... bringing business to them during off-season could be a selling point... I think this is more of "This happened once... can it happen again?" type of thing. The idea of going out to eat and NOT having to pay has always been FUN to me ! Ha! I went into a restaurant with every intention of paying for my meal. Saw some kids giving their parents trouble and disturbing the patrons. I did some entertainment for the kids, settled them down, and the manager came out and said, your meal is on the house. A nice surprise. A good example of having fun while I am out and about. These types of experiences are FUN for me. I think the reason I like Glenn's flirt tipping so much is that it makes going out to eat more FUN. ![]() In fact, I have been blessed enough, with people, with friends, with experiences that have made my life more FUN, more EXCITING, and just more ENJOYABLE. If you are going to live life, just make it more FUN. Bring in some donuts.... make a fruit basket... drop off a book... keep smiling... have some good stories... love people... do your best. |

![]() Thanks Gordon/Millard,
Every Restaurant owner and manager Focuses on TWO THINGS. Keeping his/her employees Happy. And Keeping people OUT of the Restaurant. SURPRISED? After the Pandemic People have been TRAINED to Drive thru. Use the pickup window. Order from a phone app Order off of a Kiosk instead of a human bean. So. The Sit Down area - which is LABOR Intensive - is EMPTY. Fast food Restaurants Especially are moving to Remove or Downsize the SIT DOWN area of every Restaurant. NEW Fast Food Restaurants will have NO Sit Down Area - at all. I can SEE this happening at the top 2 Biggest Fast Food Chains in the USA here in Maryland. McD and Wendy's Wendy's - for example - Just remodeled the Store I eat in to make the Seats and Tables TINY. Uncomfortable. Difficult to sit in. So small I have to sit at a 4 seat table to have room for all my Plastic and paper food wrappers and cups. Restaurant Labor is an Increasing NIGHTWARE. ========= ========= So Why Tell You This? Because WHEN You share ideas or DO THINGS that make the COOKS HAPPY - the owner TRIES to THANK REWARD YOU. (I've Improved Lotto tipping. Discovered a way to guarantee 3 or more cooks win a $1 or $2 every time you visit. Heh heh - I Figured a way to Guarantee you tip winners.) I've Asked in Dozens of restaurants and NOBODY ELSE TIPS the cooks. So you are an INSTANT VIP. PROVEN IDEA #2 - WHEN You hand waitresses a "LEFTOVER-Fries Recipe" they can GIFT to Customers - MOST of Whom ALREADY ask for a Take out box. The Waiters Tips go up. The Customers are happy - More Value - same cost. the Owner/Manager can BRIBE customers to ORDER more for the cost of a piece of paper. *** *** Cheese Sandwich & Leftover French Fries Recipe: Ingredients - 2 Slices of Bread 2 Slices of Your Favorite Cheese Caste Iron Pan Cold - Leftover French Fries DIRECTIONS - Place bread on a flat surface Put two slices of cheese on top of Bread Slice Arrange Leftover French Fries on top of cheese Slices Put Top on Sandwich Put into Caste iron Skillet - low heat Cover to speed heating. Check every 2 Minutes When brown on bottom - Flip over When cheese melts and HISSES onto skillet - Sandwich is DONE. Hot cheese - Hot Fries - YUMMY. ![]() Glenn,
I like your idea of gifting your recipe for left-over fries. Was just wondering.... Once you come back to the restaurant, do you get any feedback as to how the left-over fries recipes were received? I am assuming you get VIP service for all your tipping, so is this recipe received as a real gift for the customers? |
