Lightbulb Thanks for sharing the magic, Millard

Love the practical tips you shared

To quote the kids today, you got mad skills! That's probably why the athlete was blown away

A few questions though:

1. Is the framed article a real one or just a mock-up using the newspaper's logo? Is this only for prospects who have received actual awards?

2. Please which specific tipping strategy of Glenn are you referring to?

Thanks again

I've noticed that in business situations or chamber of commerce meetings or BNI meetings, you can't just do a trick willy-nilly... however, I have often done tricks to make a point. Once, I created a special trick for a famous sports figure that so pleased him , that he gave me his personal phone number !

The point I want to make is that these days, you've got to do something that gets you noticed ! I don't believe that it has to be right-in-your-face though.

I often used the old technique of sending a framed, in-glass, newspaper article of a prospect being awarded a prize by the governor or president, along with a picture in the article. It ALWAYS made an impact.

Giving away little gifts wherever you are helps smooth the way.

This is why I like Glenn Osborn's tipping strategy. It is something that gets attention, yet is also subtle. Giving a tip through out the meal via lotto tickets, cash, sunglasses, or whatever makes a person stand out.

Getting back to Glenn's tipping strategy...

Even if you don't do it for business, do it to have some fun !
