![]() There are (at least) two types of deals...
One type of deal and mindset is typical for those who come out of the real estate world... It's the "zero sum game" or "win-lose" type of deal... If you're buying or selling a real estate property, it's a "zero sum game"... If I am selling a real estate property and I get a higher price, the buyer pays a higher price (and therefore loses more money)... I win, they lose (relatively speaking). Donald Trump comes out of the real estate world, and his perspective seems to often be that of the "zero sum game" or "win-lose" mindset. The same goes for the author, Robert Ringer (author of the classic book, "Winning Through Intimidation")... He also comes out of the real estate world, and the "zero sum game" mindset is throughout his book. The other type of deal and mindset is the "positive sum game" or "win-win" type of deal... It's the type of deal where both parties win! The combined outcome is greater than the sum of the parts! These are the types of deals that Harvey Brody does... He wins, and the other party wins too... Let's say you write a book, and you find a publisher who agrees to publish, distribute, and market your book. If your book is successful, it's a "win-win" deal... You'll make money, and the publisher makes money too! If the publisher is good at what they do, you'll make more money by working with them, and if your book about an in-demand subject, they'll make more money as well by working with you! I personally prefer to play in the "positive sum game" and "win-win" deal making world! It's good to know that there are two approaches... Not just one! The mindset of each approach is completely different! There are a lot of lessons from Harvey Brody to come... which are not in his course... (Though his old course is immensely valuable too!) Best wishes, Dien Quote:
