If you're buying or selling a real estate property, it's a "zero sum game"...

If I am selling a real estate property and I get a higher price, the buyer pays a higher price (and therefore loses more money)... I win, they lose (relatively speaking).

Donald Trump comes out of the real estate world, and his perspective seems to often be that of the "zero sum game" or "win-lose" mindset.

The same goes for the author, Robert Ringer (author of the classic book, "Winning Through Intimidation")... He also comes out of the real estate world, and the "zero sum game" mindset is throughout his book.

The other type of deal and mindset is the "positive sum game" or "win-win" type of deal...

It's the type of deal where both parties win!

The combined outcome is greater than the sum of the parts!

These are the types of deals that Harvey Brody does... He wins, and the other party wins too...

Let's say you write a book, and you find a publisher who agrees to publish, distribute, and market your book. If your book is successful, it's a "win-win" deal... You'll make money, and the publisher makes money too!

If the publisher is good at what they do, you'll make more money by working with them, and if your book about an in-demand subject, they'll make more money as well by working with you!

I personally prefer to play in the "positive sum game" and "win-win" deal making world!

It's good to know that there are two approaches... Not just one!

The mindset of each approach is completely different!

There are a lot of lessons from Harvey Brody to come... which are not in his course... (Though his old course is immensely valuable too!)

Best wishes,

Dien

Harvey Brody's course of TOLL POSITIONS is quite difficult to find. Trying to find that course is like trying to pick flea **** out of black pepper... with boxing gloves on!

Saw a set come up on Ebay once 8 or 9 years ago for $500.

Perhaps Dien can talk him out of the couple of hundreds Harvey has in his basement?

We've got something in the works...

If it goes ahead as we envision... you won't need the course...

You'll Learn By Doing...!

Default Short and sweet refresher.

I have the course as a pdf, but alas, no rights to offer it, maybe that will be part of the new thing. Speaking as learning by doing, many moonlights ago Harvey asked me to help Bob Blagg with his project, Bob (RIP) was one of Harvey's protoges that actually did the course, and he wrote of his experiences. The result of my collaboration with Bob was his mini course known as One Product Away.

Harvey gave it two thumbs up, as did several other well known big name marketers. So, I can share some of this with you and this intended only as a refresher for many, or as an intro to new folks.

Harvey is big on the TOLL POSITION, like a toll booth on a busy highway he owns the booth and collects a toll. So, his longest selling product is the ZOOM SPOUT OILER (TM and Copyrighted).

It is a PRODUCT, which I doubt has ever needed any advertising, which makes it one of the perfect products to offer, one that people want/need to buy and also a consumable, one they buy over and over and over.

Having CONTROL of the ZOOM SPOUT OILER has been a toll position for Harvey for over 50 years. It is just one of the PERFECT products he controls.

You will find these so called (by ME) perfect products in many areas, but especially in the "specialty" products field, and within the bowels of mfging.

Things like molds, dies and unique products are things that can be controlled and therefore make good toll positions.

Oil well leases, rights of way, cell tower leases, mineral rights, as well as the ownership of copyrights, trademarks and formulas can be terrific things to own and control.

Now the problem I found with most people, back a decade and half ago was they wanted a home run first at bat, and swung for the fences, few hit the ball out of the park.

So, what can you do NOW? And I am sure Harvey and Dien will have a great offer for you to learn by doing, which is what Dien advocated in 2000 when we put this forum together, he learned by doing, including selling things, and doing international business (not without risk and failure).

But one can get started with CONCEPTS first, how to own, control and PROTECT your toll position. How to build a defense around your ownership.

Now, of course, I can't offer Harvey's course, and if I find Bob's somewhere in my many disk and zip drives, I would share that with anyone interested (drop me an email).

I advise a little study on CONTRACTS, trademarks, copyrights, and insurance to protect your toll position if you want to acquire or build one.

Looking forward to what Dien and Harvey come up with.

Gordon

P.S. My copyright of the BELL CURVE FLAT LINE lottery tracking method is one of the toll positions I set up after working closely with Harvey for many years. I like information, Harvey walked away from a lucrative PUBLISHING business so as not to have to deal with employees. I learned a lot about how not to go about it, and love publishing information (or did, not much new).

CONTROL of a wanted/needed PRODUCT which doesn't require promotional or advertising costs, and preferrably consumable or renewable. Any questions?
