How to find hot trends from your local mall....
I just found a very interesting article on finding trends....
Todd Slater researches retail trends for a stock broking firm - especially trends in fashion. He does this by getting out and visiting stores, checking through racks (to see what's been selling well), and trying to discretely get information on the "hot" selling products from the retailers themselves.... This can also be useful information if you are in product development or retail yourself, to know what the buying public thinks is hot, and what's not. And also if you invest in stocks, this can be very useful information too, since it gives you an idea as to which businesses are doing very well, compared to those which are doing just average or poorly. People are still buying things if they are the "right" product which they want at the time, and getting out and finding this information can be critical to business success in these uncertain times....
