The secrets of success may lie in the "guru's" sub-conscious.... but there are ways to get it out...
Hi Michael and Mike,
These are great points.... I fully agree with the "importance" of "failure" ! Every time you try, yet don't succeed, it means you've absorbed a new lesson.... You now know what to avoid. Eventually, through trial and error, you end up knowing how to get it right so you succeed.... I agree with the point about "gurus" too.... Often, the information IS very good, and I still recommend getting all the quality information you can get your hands on. But I've found that when I try and fail, I absorb a new lesson, and it becomes a "part" of me.... So much so that, after a short while, I'm no longer even consciously aware of it. I just know what NOT to do, even if this knowledge is now lying there hidden in my sub-conscious and controlling my actions from there. Many "gurus" may be successful because of a LOT of "hidden" knowledge which is lying there in their sub-conscious, which they may no longer even be aware of. If they're not aware of it, they can't teach it. BUT, observing someone work, and working WITH them, can be absolutely invaluable. Even if THEY are no longer aware of what they are sub-consciously avoiding, if you get to work with someone, YOU will probably notice it -- and you will learn that way. There is no better teacher than experience.... But again, all the information I've read (from various "gurus" and others) has helped me IMMENSELY to get closer and closer to my goals.... It may not be a "guarantee" that things will work, but it's close to a "guarantee" that you will get there faster. :) - Dien Rice |
