Default A million dollars by next Tuesday

I didn't write this, but found it interesting.......

'The number one reason that people never succeed financially is because it never occurs to them that they can do it. As a result, they never try ... they never get started'

What does it take to become a multi-millionaire? The answers may surprise you.

Most of us have dreams of what it would be like to be rich but unfortunately, few of us are likely to become so.

Unless we can adopt the mindset that makes millionaires so much money, we are destined to live beyond our means and take on ever growing amounts of debt.

If everyone wants to become rich, why is it that some people are so poor and others so successful in garnering wealth?

It all comes down to attitude. Financial author, investor and educator Hans Jakobi says instead of thinking of all the reasons why an idea will not work, millionaires think of all the reasons why it will work.

``They think whatever they dream is possible,'' Mr Jakobi says.
Mr Jakobi is a millionaire himself, a fact he largely attributes to following his dreams. He works from a property in the country and his newly released book, How to be Rich and Happy on Your Income, is about to hit the book stores in China.

Mr Jakobi says people are held back by the beliefs instilled in them as they grow up and are convinced they are too old (or too young) or lack the education (or the right education). It is too easy to find reasons why an idea will not succeed.

``If you want to be wealthy you have to have the guts to think that you can get out there and do it,'' he says.

Author of 21 Success Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires Brian Tracy agrees. ``The number one reason that people never succeed financially is because it never occurs to them that they can do it,'' Mr Tracy says. ``As a result, they never try . . . they never get started.''

Mr Jakobi says the next major difference between financially successful people is the ability to take action.

Most people will convince themselves they cannot start a project just yet because they need to finish a university degree or learn a bit more or think they need an office before they get started.

People destined to be millionaires, by contrast, realise they will never learn all they need to learn to make a project succeed.

HANS Jakobi says millionaires-to-be are confident they know enough to tip the odds in their favour and the rest will come as they go along.
For people who have grown up with an employee mentality, security is important. But Mr Jakobi says a lot of millionaires are not so worried about security.

``Their security comes from knowing they have the ability to create value for someone else and knowing that someone else will pay for it.''
He says millionaires have confidence in their own abilities and their product or service and realise they are self-reliant.
Brian Sher, author of What Rich People Know and Desperately Want to Keep a Secret, says millionaires would happily pay for what others pay them to do.

``Find any rich or successful person and I'll show you a person who absolutely loves what they do,'' Mr Sher says.

If you love what you are doing, he says, it is obvious and it is infectious.

But when you are just going through the motions, people notice the minute passion is not there.
``If you're flat and have no energy, it flows onto your staff, to your customers and to your profit. You only have one life: why would you want to spend a minute of it doing things you don't love doing?''

Mr Tracy says doing what you love to do is one of the great secrets of financial success. He says you must find a field or endeavour that completely fascinates you, something that holds your attention and is a natural expression of your special talents and abilities.

``When you are doing what you love to do, you seem to have a continuous flow of excitement, energy and ideas to do what you do even better.''
Mr Tracy suggests reading all the magazines in your field, studying the latest books and attending courses and seminars given by experts in your field.

``Join your industry or trade association, attend every meeting and get involved with the other top people in your field.''

WHAT IT TAKES
Millionaires attribute their success to some unexpected factors:
Integrity - being honest with all people.
Discipline - applying self control.
Social skills - getting along with people.
A supportive spouse .
Hard work - more than most people.

.........And you thought getting rich was hard......your focus determines your reality.....you knew that all along right? I thought so;>)
