> is the cost of living decent over in Europe, > in your opinion? Taylor: I got an email from my cousins in London the other day. They moved there for work, from Australia. As he said: London is expensive BUT the wages are higher to compensate - he's on about £30-£40 an hour. He also said he was able to save the same amount as in Australia and because it was in English pounds it worked out to be more money, after conversion. In other words, in Australia he may have been able to save $50AUS a week. In London he is able to save £50 a week (which converts to about $135AUS) Of course, he's looking at it from the point of view of coming back to Australia, and not living there forever. (he's not married, engaged or otherwise at the moment, so that could easily change) Hope this helps somewhat. Michael Ross. |
