![]() I've generally gone out of my way to avoid aptitude tests in general.... I guess I don't want the results to limit my own beliefs about myself!
I like to believe I could do anything as long as I put my mind to it, and I don't need anyone telling me otherwise! It's by trying new things that I grow and learn.... I hate to be put into a box! If you look at my background, this tends to be the pattern of my life.... When I started university, I got involved with Student Radio, and ended up doing a regular show on a public radio station in my city. I was seriously considering trying to go into radio as a career.... But then, I decided to go into physics, and ended up getting a Ph.D. Along the way, I learned quite a bit about stock market investing (the "value investor" approach), and now, here I am, just getting into the world of direct response marketing. I'm sure I could have taken an aptitude test somewhere, which would have told me DON'T do this or DON'T do that, but I don't really want that.... :) I don't put a lot of faith in aptitude tests! There are a lot of brilliant people out there, whose brilliance is NOT picked up by the aptitude tests.... - Dien |
