Are they called rabble because.....

Hi,

Are they called rabble because when they're roused they make a sound like "Rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble rabble..."

No wait, they go "Murmur murmur murmur murmur murmur murmur murmur...."

Or does it depend on how rabble-ized they are?
