Default How to make money from eBay....

Hi Sandy,

I agree - eBay CAN be addictive! :)

Here are a few of the ways I know of which people make money from eBay....

1. Sell on eBay.... You can easily buy from stuff from yard sales, buy liquidated stock below retail, or buy items unique to your area - and sell it on eBay for a profit. After a while, you'll find out what sells well, and what doesn't....

After trying it out and making some profits, once you want to go into it "big time", you can use a service like Auctionworks to automate everything for you. :)

This is what some people do full time!

2. Buy stuff on eBay, and sell offline. If you know how to reach people interested in a very narrow "niche", you could possibly buy stuff of interest to these people, and sell it offline at a profit.

3. Buy at another online auction site, and sell on eBay! Auction sites with fewer visitors tends to mean that there will be fewer bidders.... That means that items can often sell at other auction sites for less than they do on eBay. So, you can buy there, and sell on eBay for a profit.

4. Buy products with resale rights on eBay, and sell the product outside of eBay. I'm amazed at the products with resale rights you can get on eBay - often for $5 or less! You can't get everything there like this - but there's quite a lot. Do a search on eBay for "resale rights" or "reprint rights" - make sure to include the quotes!

After you've done one search, you'll see your search term in the left column, under "Basic Search".... From there, you can do a more thorough search, by also checking "in titles and descriptions" and searching again.

Once you have a product with resale rights, you can sell it however you like - from your web site, in ezines, etc., or sell it on eBay too.

5. Buy businesses on eBay, fix them up, and then resell them. I haven't done this myself, but I've explored the idea.... I believe you can really make a lot of profits doing this, but you're talking about spending at least a few thousands bucks to get something decent. The key then is to improve the business, and sell it for even more. If you've been building your own business, you'll develop the skills to improve other businesses too. :)
