Default Wow... GREAT post, Gordon!

Hi Gordon,

Wow, great post! :)

I haven't seen "The Music Man," but it looks like a "must see" movie if you have anything to do with selling (and that means everyone who's in business!)....

Yes, I agree.... Good selling is about helping others, making them know they are important, and breaking through a person's pre-occupations -- like you show in REMOTE HYPNOSIS....

Gordon, I remember when I visited you last year, we talked about this topic.... I told you how much I DREADED selling, and you mentioned how you enjoyed it.... At the time, I couldn't quite understand how someone could enjoy selling....

Now, with a bit more experience under my belt, I know what you mean. Selling can be fun.... It can be nice helping people to solve their problems.... I'm enjoying it too!

If you had told me that in a year, I would start to enjoy selling too, I would have said you were CRAZY! (Well, maybe not quite, being the polite fellow I am, but you know what I mean....)

However, that's what's happened.... I do enjoy selling, since I see it as helping others with their problems....

As for Elmer Gantry, thanks Gordon, it's a GREAT film. He'll appetise, magnetise, and hypnotise! I even bought myself a copy on video, so I can watch it when I want to.... :)

You also wrote....

Gordon, I strongly believe we have this in common! I'm intensely curious.... I can't wait to find out new things.... :)

I think most people are curious deep down, but sometimes social convention suppresses it.... But when you let your curiosity run free, life is a joy.... You can NEVER know everything, and every new piece of knowledge or every (good) new experience is a reason to celebrate! :)

Thanks Gordon, that was a fantastic post! Really great advice.... :)
