Money-Making Ideas are ALL Around!

Now that fall is coming...I start thinking about "winter-time" projects. Most of the money-making programs I've come up with are a result of being AWARE of what is around you.

Case in point;
One of my sons and his family visited us Labor Day weekend. I picked them up from the airport and brought them to their motel (this was a spur of the moment rip and we have our guest bedrooms torn apart for remodeling)

While checking in, my son asked for an area MAP. The clerk looked around and said, "I guess we're out of them!"

My son wanted to go see a few local attractions while I took the grandkids....and a Local Map would help him find his way around.

My thoughts went INSTANTLY to a "Map project for motels". I didn't want to do a "printed thingee"...so...as I was standing in the lobby...my eyes scanned the walls and BINGO...there it was....2 BLANK WALLS in the foyer before you enter the lobby.

My mind said..."Why couldn't I provide a Framed MAP on the WALL...and of course...there'd be Ad Spaces of local restaurants, gift shops and attractions in spaces around the Map...of interest to motel guests.

The first chance I got...I had a 16"x20" gold metal frame holding a nice print in our family room. Before my wife could stop me...I rigged up a Map with Ad Spots around the sides on my computer. Took it down to the copy place and made a transparency and put it in the frame.

Made up a "Location and Ad Agreement" and went to see some motel owners and managers.

I would simply walk in the motel, without a prior appointment, ask to see the owner or manager... introduce myself...show them my sample display and ask if I could mount a larger, 24" by 36" version of it, on their walls.

To my amazement...the first guy said "FINE! It would be handy for our guests AND save the clerk's time explaining where things are!"

I then proceeded to contact the next 11 motels (the nicer ones) and out of 12 of the "best" motels in my town...I got EIGHT to agree to let me place my "Map" on their walls.

This meant over 500 rooms I could offer advertisers.

I then proceeded to contact local businesses, showing them my framed sample and sample ads I made up....and I just finished filling all 18 spots for a "quick" $595 x 18 = $10,700!

The frames will cost $60ea and the ads cost me zilch (because I do them on my home pc) SOOO...deducting $60 x 8 = $480....gives me a "quick" TEN GRAND....net, net!....just from an idea!

So...even though MOST of you reading this will have nothing to do with "direct sales" even if your financial life depended on it...it is STILL the easiest and quickest way "for me" to make money.

ALSO...I will be placing an "INFO-Board" on the walls of Fitness Centers and Senior Centers with ads around them...as a "winter" project.

So...once again...if you are not afraid to take a few "no's!" ....there is "money all around you, waiting to be picked up!"...because EVERY business owners NEEDS to advertise!
