Wouldn't it be great if you could squeeze 8 hours of sleep into 2 or 3? Well, some researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison promise just that! They say with some kind of magnetic stimulation device attached to your head, you can go straight into deep sleep... And squeeze a full night of sleep into 2 or 3 hours... The other way to get less sleep is possibly through "polyphasic sleep" (also known as "Da Vinci sleep"), where you sleep in naps of 20 to 30 minutes, in 6 equally spaced times per day (for a total of around 3 hours of sleep daily).
