Default More: My answer to the question: "Who is Dave Draper?

Here's something I just found myself sending in an email. And it sums who Dave is up pretty well.

My answer to the question: "Who is Dave Draper?

He's was a body building pal of Arnold and the gang around Venice Beach in the 70s. He kind of faded out of the limelight after winning a few championships. He's had some life changing things happen to him since.

He lived in a small cabin in the woods making handmade furniture. Had some problems with alcohol and drugs. A heart attack. Turned away from the spiral of negativity he had put himself in. Has been preaching health and fitness. Is a wonderful example of a fit 60 year old. And undoubtedly still stronger than most 20 year old scamps. He's weathered storms and injuries. Every diet and training regimen under the sun. He understands the emotions. The frustrations. And the encouragement that is needed.

He's found what works for him. Tells his loyal readers that. Tells them to experiment. To find what's right for them. To grow as people through the discipline. Consoles them. Creates bonfires of enthusiasm. He's an inspiration in an area I'd expected only jock dimwits. He's a voice of intelligence where I hadn't expected any. And he's a great guy.

Success,

Erik
