I know someone, a very good businessman, who did that very thing...almost. He had a 6 month no-interest offer from Amex Blue. He knew a business owner who needed some cash short-term. So my friend took $10,000 and lent it to the business owner for 6 months at 17%. Win-win. Everyone happy.

My friend did do his due-diligence first to make sure that the loan was safe.
