Hi Samir,

I bought your report just now and will review it over the weekend when I have some extra time.

I have some ideas for your saleletter and will do some research on the best keywords to target.

I will also research the right places to do some free advertising for your report.

I have a couple of deadlines to meet so I will not get to it until the weekend. If you have some questions that you want me to answer you can drop me a line at [email protected]

Best of success,

Skip Rosell

Those are all great ideas Ankesh...I was thinking about bundling up my ebook with a startup kit but that would require me to physically mail out the package and handle returns. I will definltely think about the options you've listed. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks Marty...those are some good domain names. It would certainly help to have relevant keywords as part of the domain name.

Default DO THIS FIRST Samir

Hi Samir,

First CONGRATULATIONS on:

1. Asking for help. You have already received excellent feedback from the rest of the group.

2. Putting something up and marketing it. 11 sales from 283 clicks = 3.8% conversion from "Cold PPC" traffic??? That's seems higher than I would have guessed. So Congratulatons

I noticed that you are:

1. Asking for feedback about the Sales Copy and that
2. NOT building a List for FEAR of offering a crappy PLR product and or NOT having anything else to sell??

These Questions you are asking all stem from ONE THING. And
NO it is not lack of your knowledge per se.

It is THE most important link in the sales chain.

A Lack of CLARITY on WHO your TARGET is.

SAMIR repeat this 10x's before you go to bed lol

"Your TARGETS will dictate your COPY which will dictate the OFFER ."

Repeat. "TARGETS dictate COPY dictates OFFER"

See A LOT of the Answers to the Sales Copy question and "How do I Improve this?" type questions will NOT be found with us...

but they WILL be Found In those 11 People that actually BOUGHT from you.

They are buyers.

GO BACK to them.
GET to know them Better.

YOUR SOLUTION to your questions are IN THE TARGETS

So do this...

1. GET EXTREMELY CLEAR ON WHO YOUR TARGET IS and The marketplace
  • WHO specifically are you targeting? Opportunity seekers? balloon lovers?
  • What specifically do they need, want or wish for?? aka What else are they Already buying?
  • Where are they located online? Can YOU reach them? Can you reach them cost effectively?
    • Why did they buy your report?
    • What did they like about it?
  • Who are the other players (people that sell stuff) selling to these people? (potential J.V's)

Once you are Clear your Salesletter could write itself by offering a Soluton to the Problems/Desires you established by your market research aka. GET CLEAR ON WHO YOUR TARGET is.

Action:

1. You could have that paypal button redirect to a Surveymonkey.com survey
Lettng them know the report is not ready yet...but that you want to tailor it to their needs. Ask them What's the MOST IMPORTANT question you have about____________?

Build a list and then update the report or ADD TO the existing report a FAQ and YES bump up the price. but THAT will come later.

GET CLEAR ON YOUR TARGET

P.S

If you are NOT building a list because of Fear of NOT knowing what to sell next. You are not building a business. You just have ONE product. START BUILDING A LIST NOW! Like RIGHT NOW ...Please. If you don't You gotta go back and INVEST more BUX in PPC every single month. "Hoping to tweak your metrics to profitability.

P.P.S
I think Gordn Alexander posted something on this in a recent post "The number one problem?" Go back and find it. It will help

BEST of success Samir!

Skip, I definitely have a lot to learn. The total number of visitors I received from all three campaigns were 283. I am not even sure if the problem is with my sales copy or the ad because on Facebook, my ads received 187,924 impressions but only 68 clicks. I used two different ads, one said "Earn $300 A day distributing balloons to local businesses" and the other said "Earn extra cash distributing balloons to local businesses" I believe most of my orders came from Google AdWords where my CPC was $0.80. I used hundreds of keywords but only "extra cash" and "earn extra money" performed. I would like to capture emails but I do not have anything else to offer and I don't think it would be right to offer a badly written PLR as gift to people who subscribe. Plus, without paid advertisement, how do I get people to visit my site to begin with?

Phil, you're right, a $10 price tag is not going to replace a $300 a day business but the idea is so simple, I am not sure how to twist it into another business model. It doesn't really have any secret formula that I can keep to myself or maybe I am just not smart enough to think of one. The basic premise is that if you make something easier for someone, you will be rewarded.

Think about it, why is Apple one of the most successful companies in the world? MP3 players existed before Apple introduced the iPod and smart phones existed before the iPhone was introduced. So what did Apple do different? Well, with the iPod, they made it easy to download music into an MP3 player. With the iPhone, they made it easy to navigate using the touch screen.

Convenience stores are another example. They make it easy to buy everyday items, that's why they're so successful and that's why you find one on every corner. People pay for convenience and people pay for ease.

My balloon distribution business makes it easy for people to buy a certain type of balloon and it also makes it easy for certain businesses to sell them.

I would love to get some feedback on the sales copy. My website is easilydoable dot com. This forum does not let me post links.

Thanks
-Samir

Excellent post Duane. Thanks.

Minor point. Shouldn't
"TARGETS dictate COPY dictates OFFER"

be
"TARGETS dictate OFFER dictates COPY"
instead?

Also - to continute the conversation - what all questions would You ask once you have zero-ed in onto the target? What information would you look out for?

Default Critique and Free offer

Here's my take on it...from my perspective and and ruling out that I have read all the posts on it here and stepping back and looking from the point of seeing the web site and offer for the first time.

Now this may be harsh...or even sound cruel, but please do not be offended as it is not intended that way.

I buy a "lot" of similar products for the purpose of seeing what they are about and judging whether I want to represent them on some of my web sites.

After viewing your web site I would not buy your product....But it does have potential.

The sales copy really needs redoing as you are aware and the web site really, really is bad...and the price makes me cringe....I would leave the site a non-purchaser.

If the product is really that good that one can make that kind of money then it surely warrants a higher price...if it sat at $27 to $47, or even $97...even with the poor web site and sales copy I would probably buy it....but $10 as a regular price and the copy and site the way it is...ouch....even with the guarantee I wouldn't buy.

Okay now knowing what I have gleaned from the postings on the forum....

12 pages is a bit small, but I would much rather pay a decent price for a 12 page "system" that gets right to the point without a whole lot of fluff just to put more size to the product. Time is critical in my life and when I buy a product of 50 -100 pages and after reading it find that it could have been done in 20 pages I get a little perturbed.

Notice I used the word system....that word alone just increased the value of the product....it is no longer an eBook or report but a system to make up to $300 a day selling Balloons....you might have to rewrite the content so that it becomes a system but that isn't hard to do. And as already suggested in the postings you could add video to the product (which is a good idea)

You need to provide a free report....and this is where you can get a bit fluffy....no not some PLR report as you mentioned in one of your posts...but one your write....Give an overview of the business but don't give anything away....personalize it with a story of how you started and how making that kind of money changed your lifestyle, etc (everything on a positive note)....and how it can the readers too...get the readers confidence...let them get to know you....and then get into a gentle persuasion mode pushing towards the sale.

The report will start your list and allow you to market to those again who didn't purchase after getting the report.

It looks like you are hosting on GoDaddy...I personally would move my hosting to another hosting service...my preference would be Hostgator....much easier to work with and the autoresponders can be used efficiently so you don't have to rush out and get an aWeber account.

You also need to pick up one of the domains suggested here by Martin

Okay ...enough said....here's an offer....no strings attached....

I will redesign and build you an index page for your site...the page will include an area for an optin form for the free report as well as the sales copy area. If you like it use it...if you don't use it then so be it.

If you want this just let me know. The earliest my schedule will allow would be mid next week....would help if you had the new domain purchased before I do the page so I can incorporate it into it.

As I said it is a free offer...it's up to you.

Thank you for some great advice Duane.

The folks that I am targeting are the stay-at-home moms, cash strapped students, fixed income seniors, the unemployed, the under-paid, basically anyone looking to earn cash either on the side or fulltime depending on how much time they have available.

Based on the keyword performance, it looks like the people that are most interested in my ebook are those who are looking to earn extra cash. I know that 283 clicks is definitely not enough to come to this conclusion but at least it tells me where to start.

I like your survey idea but as Ankesh points out, can you give some pointers on what questions I would ask?

Most people here have suggested that I build a list so I am definitely looking into that. It looks like many people here favor aweber. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with MailChimp? They do not require any upfront signup fees.

Thanks
-Samir
