Default How a great hypnotherapist used "secret commands" to hypnotize...

Here's some Proof.

Ellen wrote a book called "Seriously...I'm Kidding"

THEN the 1st sentence says this. (Which I have shortened.)

"You'll find lots of new things in this book including 400.00 - so I think You
should buy multiple copies!"
Thanks Glenn for that incredible insight!

This also reminds me of embedded commands in Ericksonian hypnosis and NLP...

That's where you "hide" a command in the sentence.

Ellen's first sentence is a joke - but it also subtly includes the command, "buy multiple copies!"

It flies "below the radar" of the reader - because it's actually a joke!

You can also use embedded commands as part of a question, part of a statement, or part of a story...

The great hypnotherapist Milton Erickson could hypnotize people by just telling them a story, by using embedded commands in the story.

People would hear the story, and feel good while they heard it. They'd feel wonderful!

That's because they loved the story. When they heard the story, they'd feel on top of the world!

By the way, just by saying "feel good," "feel wonderful," and "feel on top of the world" in those last few sentences - I could subtly influence you to start "feeling good" yourself... They were very simple "embedded commands!"

Of course, it's more effective if you weave these kinds of phrases through a longer story, if you wanted the listener to feel good when they heard the story.

That's in a nutshell how embedded commands work...

I've experimented with them in the past - and I do believe they work...

Thanks again, Glenn... It's amazing when you write a post on such fascinating topics!

Best wishes,

Dien
