Default Lady Liberty missing, Prez Trump questioned for involvement ...

Future Headlines when Trump is the Prez?

Executive Order 666...all us citizens must have micro chip installed in 30 days, report to nearest Department of Motor Vehicles to have yours installed.

President OKs DOD expenditure for 1,000 air powered catapults, will begin tossing people over the wall, Mexico ordered to provide landing bags, if they want.

Trump vetoes everything.

White House renamed Trump House, paints it gold.

President Trump appoints Mel Gibson as new ethnic Czar.

Trump fires Putin.

OH, for those who need fairness:

President H. Clinton. New Day, Same Old Sh!t.

Trump's more fun.

My prediction if Trump is elected - invest in nuclear bunker builders.

You'll be a rich man (*) once the nuclear winter is over...

And if Hillary is elected - invest in anti-hacking technology...

Every day seeing her on TV will remind people that they need good computer security!

Why not hedge the bet, get in on both things NOW?

I'm standing by, if anyone needs a long term food storage plan. As for hacking, best advice, get off grid, no devices but emergency radios, and especially CB and old Ham Radio stuff.

One mistake preppers make with their food supply (that survivalists don't make)...

They have too much food which requires water and has too much salt.

See water is the key. If your food supply needs reconstitution, your drinking water goes quickly. A high diet salt intake, or as we call the typical American diet, makes your body crave more salt. A double edge sword.

Also, you can probably do just as well at Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco when buying quantities than you can with prepackaged foods. Most of that food you buy in bulk targeted for preppers, is designed for American tastes, salt, fat content and TASTE.

Preppers want comfort food, survivalists want Saturday Night Food-Stayin Alive, Stayin Alive, ohh, ooh, ooh Stayin Alive

My interest began when as a Commissaryman on a Nuclear powered/Nuclear Missile sub, where we had to order food which would last for years, or have a modest supply of it.

Beans are a good food (Ask Glenn Osborn about Anasazi Beans)...but in a bunker situation, one needs to know how to capture moisture in the air to soak them in and not drinking water, SEE?...something most preppers don't consider but the Bear Grylls types do.

Same with RICE. You want a glass gallon container, not plastic to use sun light and condensation to cook your rice.

So, if getting the bunker ready, let me know.
If concerned about hacking, I'll sell you a pair of needle nose pliers, to cut the cords and extract the batteries.

Also, I'm pretty handy with a CB good buddies, ten 4.

Default It pays to remember

Some very excellent prepper survival tips, Gordon.

Do you remember the electrical outage that occurred in the midwest and east coast regions, in the early 2000's?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northe...ackout_of_2003

One of the things that I remember, is that fresh water became an instant problem - for millions of people.
Also, houses quickly became uninhabitable, without electricity and running water.

Good idea.... I don't have the skills to build a nuclear bunker... I can build a website to help people to secure their websites... Here's one I built, but I'm thinking about selling it... http://cyberlocksolutions.com/

We wrote quite a bit about it, and I had a friend at "Ground Zero", here in Akron. FirstEnergy (formerly Ohio Edison) was at the center of it all.

They spun it, but, basically, some branches hit power lines. Nature and stupidity created the problem. The branches caused power lines to blow, and the domino effect happened. We learned a lot from that, but there is still a huge vulnerability factor in how we transfer power.

Although, I'm impressed and may have to issue another rare, I was wrong, post because this heat wave hasn't done the power damage it could of, and maybe because of the this past event, it made us more prepared.

I laughed at the TV comedy show, REVOLUTION, which showed life 10 years after power went out the world over...HA, HA, very funny show.

I've been through 3 hurricanes, a Typhoon and winter blizzards where power went out, and some areas didn't get it back for weeks.

But, thanks for this reminder. Because we old farts, have experienced these things, we have a better understanding of what life becomes under these little seen conditions.

In May of 1970, TANKS rolled through the streets of Kent, OH, where martial law had been declared and after the May 4 shootings, you knew they weren't kidding around and would shoot to kill.

Unimaginable for millennials to even consider blackouts or martial law, which makes them an easy target for when it happens.

For me, preppers are a joke. They are just as clueless as can be when it comes to real life survival situations, when, perhaps the taking of a life for survival may be the choice they face.
But, that being said and all, still be a good little scout and

BE PREPARED.

Default The wheel of life

There are some things that leave a mark on your memory - and your soul, aren't there?.

Kent State was NIxon drawing a line in the sand, wasn't it? Another undeclared war. Sides were chosen. Winner??

This was a big one for me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_Detroit_riot

I remember seeing the tanks and armed troop convoys roll past my street.

The army did what the cops, state police and the national guard could not. Put down the riot.

The cost?

There was blood in the streets. Horror stories that never made it into the press coverage. Secrets of the dead.

Afterwards and over the years, they put all sorts of "bandages" in place, with money and whatnot.

But the city never really recovered.

Time does not heal all wounds. Sometimes they fester below the surface. Rising here and there, like a pool of molten lava.

Kicked like a can, down the corridor of time. Waiting for some future generation to deal with.

This discussion has given me much to think about and too many notes-to-self. Like I needed that!

Darn you, Gordon!

Thanks, for the perspective. Some of which can only come with time, lived and experienced.

Ten 4 back atcha!

Thanks Ron,

I had a good buddy in the Navy whose dad was a Detroit cop at the time. Tough going.

Not that anyone need do this, but Tallmadge OH on a map shows a circle where 8 streets come together.

I see the cans from past generations, the one on West Ave. which has been kicked down the hill and toward the circle, call it civil rights or equal rights or even civility rights. That can is entering the circle.

Along with the cans the generations (including mine) have let our children's
children's
children to deal with.

Cans of race, environment, energy, food, water, population, technology nightmares...

and it just seems to me, this is where we are at.

I could be wrong, of course, Trump has too much Tricky Dick in him, and Hillary has had too little of Bill's dick in her.

So, the next few years the shaken hard cans will be opened all at once.

Detroit burned, Cleveland burned, LA, and today, at "their" disposal isn't the National Guard/Military who tend to follow orders...

they have the Blackwater type Mercs, who have no "rules of engagement". Today, there won't be 4 dead in Ohio, there will be 4,000.
