A way to tackle complex goals...
Hi Unpinkpanther,
Thanks for sharing! I've been helping to look after my sick 3-year-old... She has a fever, and we're doing our best to get her back to good health! She is sooooo stubborn... and also creative. She doesn't want to take her medicine, so she'll say she wants a small box of milk, with a straw... and she'll then drink the milk... and drink... and drink... at a snail's pace... the real goal of hers is so that you can't put any medicine in her mouth... She's very cheeky! I've been very lucky to have been mentored on "goal setting"... But I want to share something a little different... Sometimes, the path to a goal can be complex... so complex it's overwhelming. One way to attack it is to think... I only need to know my goal, where I am now, and the next step I need to take... That's all! I find that approach helps to simplify things, so they're not overwhelming... Another good idea is to constantly revise your goals... This relates to what the TED talk you linked to is saying, when you think about it... Best wishes! Dien Quote:
