with a "powerful" Domain Name can bring more traffic to his existing site...and he can have this site for X$ a month.

Just curious as I think this idea as a whole is pretty good, but how does a "powerful domain name" with generic content generate traffic for someone?
I suppose businesses might want to have this site and special domain name to keep their competitors from having it, but if I were the business owner I'd have a hard time paying for a site that didn't provide me with real value.
