I would recommend the "classics" that deal with the fundamentals, that won't change over time... You can learn how to market using Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, Bing... But these methods will change over time. It's a huge topic, Gordon! I would focus on the psychology of sales... What makes people buy? ![]() It's a lifetime of study (though immensely interesting too)! ![]() As you once said, though, the best education is perhaps to study the successful promotions themselves... ___ ![]() Best wishes, Dien

or not. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Popular-Affi.../331966308504? This caught my eye this morning, don't spend more than 2 mins a day looking, but why this one? 1- I have an interest in drones (been flying them for 50 years) 2- It is just beginning (HUGE potential) OK, so I saw this affiliate web site for sale. My first thing is a checklist, am I ready or could be quickly ready to market this. Amazon affiliate set up? Check aWeber autoresponder? Check PayPal? Check The basics of affiliate marketing. I would write a short report; HOW TO PROFIT FROM DRONES. Give it away for free at: This website I bought, put a banner on top. Also, I'd create a Facebook group I'd run ads on local craigslist A-Buying all drones/RC airplanes B- Local drone club forming This all set-up one/two day stuff. I want to use the free report to capture emails of people interested in drones. I'd set up a series of autoresponders, in the form of a newsletter, if wanted I could outsource this on fiverr or Warrior Forum. Probaly write the first few myself. I'd buy a drone, but if I couldn't afford the one I want, Yuneec typhoon, I'd find an investor on craigslist, who would want to join the club. But, even a cheap used toy drone to get started. Once I had the site with the affiliates I wanted on it, along with my free report, autoresponder set up...then I'd buy facebook ads and also Google ads. But, I'd start very guerrilla the first month to test the concept, get my keywords in order, start posting all about it, offer the free report. THEN, I have options. A subscription site. A review site. Newsletter, paid. Classified ads section for buyers and sellers. And it would be a very part time venture with a little daily activity on it to build it up. This is an example of how one could start a low cost business, and depending on the time dedicated to it, could begin to produce a cash flow relatively quickly. I'd also start TWO drone associations, say the American and the National assoc. With memberships, instruction on getting your pilots license. Then I'd probably write a free report on how to take down a drone spying on you, and not get caught doing it. TONS of possibility with a low cost web site. GordonJ |

...what I've done is to simply set up the email alerts on eBay! At least I'll get to see more of these opportunities daily. As my mindset- and cashflow position- improve, I'll start to see what to do with them. From where I stand, I need to work out some kind of marketing plan so that once an opportunity is tied down, it can easily be monetized. Yes, I also need to start targeting little roads instead of Harvey's super-highways Thank you. |
