A few more things sell well during a recession...
Sales of chocolate, alcohol, and cigarettes go up during recessions, and have gone up recently, according to some articles I read.
In addition, "stay-in and have fun rather than go out" type of items are increasing in sales - like tea light candles, indoor slippers and dressing gowns...
